The results will be out two days from today. Meanwhile, after returning from Kanyakumari, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended several meetings on Sunday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is seen in action mode after the elections. PM is attending one meeting after another. These included meetings on the Remal cyclone, and heatwave, and also a program to brainstorm on the agenda for the next 100 days.

The PM chaired a meeting to review the situation after the recent cyclone, especially in relation to the northeastern states. After the arrival of cyclone Remal, at least 36 people died in heavy rains and landslides in four of the eight states of the Northeast, due to which normal life came to a standstill.

Mizoram reported 27 deaths, with 21 killed in a mine collapse in the Aizawl district, four in Nagaland, three in Assam, and two in Meghalaya. Rain and strong winds caused landslides, uprooted trees and electric poles, and disrupted power and internet services.

Prime Minister Modi also presided over a meeting to assess the heat situation across the country. Most states in north and central India are experiencing extreme heat, with temperatures exceeding 45 degrees Celsius in many cities.
