- The Netherlands made a poor start to their chase and were reduced to 40/3 in the 10th over.
- Vikramjit Singh and Max O'Dowd then put on a 70-run partnership for the fourth wicket to revive the Netherlands' innings.
- However, Singh was dismissed for 52 runs in the 21st over and the Netherlands lost wickets in quick succession after that.
