Hyderabad : Pakistan defeated the Netherlands by 81 runs in their opening match of the 2023 Cricket World Cup 2023 on Friday, October 6, 2023. The match was played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, India.
Pakistan batted first and scored 286 for 10 wickets in 49 overs. Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan top-scored for Pakistan with 68 runs each. Haris Rauf and Hasan Ali picked up three wickets each for Pakistan.
The Netherlands were bowled out for 205 runs in 41 overs. Vikramjit Singh was the top scorer for the Netherlands with 52 runs. Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz picked up two wickets each for Pakistan.
