All the MPs of the opposition assured him in one voice to maintain decorum in the House and respect the seat. After this, the Lok Sabha Speaker asked the MPs to allow the proceedings of the House to run smoothly. On Wednesday (August 2), Om Birla said that he will not come to the Speaker's chair until discipline is restored in the House. He had told both the ruling party and the opposition about this decision. Speaker Om Birla was very angry after the ruckus in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday.
