During this monsoon session, there is a daily ruckus regarding Manipur violence and Delhi service MLA, due to which the proceedings of both Houses had to be stopped. The Speakers of both the Houses were very angry about this. Meanwhile, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla was not coming to the House for several days. But today on Thursday (August 3) at 2 pm, the proceedings of the House started. The reason behind this is that the MPs of the ruling party and the opposition met him and convinced him to take over the responsibility of the House. All the MPs of the opposition assured him in one voice to maintain decorum in the House and respect the seat. After this, the Lok Sabha Speaker asked the MPs to allow the proceedings of the House to run smoothly. On Wednesday (August 2), Om Birla said that he will not come to the Speaker's chair until discipline is restored in the House. He had told both the ruling party and the opposition about this decision. Speaker Om Birla was very angry after the ruckus in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday.

During the meeting with Om Birla, all the leaders in one voice assured the House to respect the decorum and the Chair. After this, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla asked everyone to run the proceedings of the House smoothly. After the assurance of all the MPs, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha sat on the chair of the Lok Sabha Speaker from 2 pm today and conducted the proceedings of the House.

If Parliament officials are to be believed, Speaker Om Birla was miffed with the behavior of both the opposition and the ruling party during the passage of bills in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. Officials also said that both the opposition and the ruling party were informed of the Speaker's displeasure over the frequent disruptions in Parliament.
