Ola launches India's first AI model 'Krutrim'

Bhavish Aggarwal, the founder of Ola Cabs and Electric, launched India's first Artificial Intelligence (AI) model 'Krittrim' today i.e. on 15th December. This model will compete with OpenAI's chatbot ChatGPT and Google's Bard.

During the launch event, Agarwal showed off an artificial intelligence-powered AI chatbot that answers questions, just like ChatGPT and Bard. It can understand 22 Indian languages and generate text in 10 languages like Hindi, Telugu, and Marathi.

Bhavish Aggarwal said that now you can sign up for the chatbot by visiting www.olakrutrim.com. Its early access will start being available in batches from today itself. It will be available to everyone from the end of next month.

Base model, trained on 2 trillion tokens and unique dataset. Subwords used in conversation are called tokens. The name of the larger model is Artificial Pro. It will be launched in the next quarter.

The new tool is categorized as 'India's first full-stack AI'. The company claims that Artificial is built on local Indian knowledge, languages, and data. Aggarwal has described this tool as beneficial for everyone. However, it is not yet clear how this tool will work and what facilities it will provide to the common people.

Bhavish Aggarwal formed an artificial intelligence company named Katrim SI Designs Private Limited in April 2023. Apart from Agarwal, Krishnamurthy Venugopala is the only other director of the Tenet company. Interestingly, Teneti is also a director in Aggarwal's other companies - Ola Cabs and Ola Electric.
