The matter of not selecting young batsman Sarfaraz Khan in Team India for the West Indies tour is in the limelight. Despite scoring runs at an average of around 80 in domestic cricket, the Mumbai batsman continues to be a victim of neglect. Rituraj Gaikwad was included in the Test team on the West Indies tour, but Sarfaraz was ignored. For this, many cricketers including former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar took a dig at the BCCI selectors. After this, a BCCI official clarified that he was not selected due to poor fitness and behavior. Meanwhile, now Australian veteran Brad Hogg has said that the real reason for not selecting him is not fitness.

Former Australia cricketer Brad Hogg on his YouTube channel said in the case of Sarfaraz Khan that fitness is not an issue. The real reason why he is not selected for the Test team is that he is not able to face high-quality fast bowlers. Sarfaraz has a poor record against quality pacers. However, Brad Hogg hoped that he will do better in the next IPL season and will soon make a place in Team India.

Brad Hogg said that Sarfaraz has done tremendously in Ranji Trophy, but why is he not in Team India? He knows why Sarfaraz was not given a place in the Test team. He said that he bats at number 5 or 6 for his state team. If you see his record against top-quality pace attacks, he is not good.

Hogg further said that he feels that the Indian selectors have been somewhat hesitant about Sarfaraz Khan. He said that if Sarfaraz improves his performance in the next season of IPL, then he can say with confidence that he can stay in Team India for a long time at the Test level.
