In such a situation, a warning of heavy rain has been issued for the next two days in half a dozen states of the country. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in the hilly state of Uttarakhand during this period. After which the temperature is also expected to drop by about 8 to 10 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Department, Uttarakhand Center has issued a yellow alert regarding rain and snowfall in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, and Pithoragarh on Monday. Due to this, there will be a drop in temperature in the plains and the cold will increase. The Meteorological Department further said that due to western disturbance, Uttarakhand will remain cloudy on Sunday and the weather will remain dry. At the same time, in the coming days, there will be snowfall in areas at a height of more than 3500 meters.
In such a situation, the rescue operation that has been going on for the last 15 days to save the workers trapped in the Silkyara tunnel of Uttarkashi will be affected and there is a possibility that the rescue work will be disrupted. However, the agencies involved in the rescue operation are considering other options. Let us tell you that on November 12, 41 laborers were trapped inside an under-construction tunnel in the Silkyara area of Uttarkashi that caved in. A rescue operation is being conducted to save them. For this, the help of many foreign machines and experts is being taken.
