Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Parliamentary party meeting has started in the Parliament House complex today. Many ministers including PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah are present in it. PM Modi was welcomed after BJP's landslide victory in three states. The leaders attending the meeting also raised slogans of 'Modi ji is welcome'.

According to sources, there is a possibility of discussion on the contenders for the post of Chief Minister for Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan in this meeting. CM has not been announced yet in all the three states. There are speculations that this time BJP may give the reins of power to young faces.

MPs who won the assembly elections resigned on Wednesday
A day before this, 11 out of the 12 BJP MPs who had won the assembly elections had resigned from the post of Lok Sabha MP. Mahant Balaknath, who won the elections only from Rajasthan, has not resigned yet.

Those who quit Parliament membership are Narendra Singh Tomar, Prahlad Singh Patel, Rakesh Singh, Uday Pratap and Reeti Pathak from Madhya Pradesh. Arun Sao, Renuka Singh and Gomti Sai are from Chhattisgarh while Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Diya Kumari and Kirori Lal Meena are from Rajasthan.

Confusion regarding CM post in Rajasthan
This is the first time in Rajasthan BJP that there is confusion regarding the Chief Minister. This has never happened before. BJP has been contesting elections only after declaring the face of the Chief Minister, hence there was never any confusion after the results were declared. Earlier Bhairon Singh Shekhawat used to be the CM face of BJP. Vasundhara Raje was already declared the CM face in the assembly elections of 2003, 2008, 2013 and 2018, hence there was no confusion.

Former CM Vasundhara Raje reached Delhi late on Wednesday night. She left Jaipur airport at around 10.30 pm. It is being told that she will meet the leaders of the organization on Thursday. However, amid speculations about calling her to Delhi, Vasundhara said at the airport - I am going to meet my daughter-in-law.
