Mahindra 5-door Thar will come with dual-pane sunroof, know what else will be special

Mahindra can launch its upcoming offroad SUV 5-door Thar in the month of August. Many details of this car have been revealed even before its launch. Now a new photo of it has surfaced, looking at which it seems as if it is going to have a dual-pane sunroof. If this happens, then it will be the first car to come with a dual-pane sunroof in the Indian market.

According to the information received so far, Mahindra's 5-door Thar is going to be named Armada. It will get a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine, which will generate 203bhp of power. Its second option is a 2.2-liter diesel engine, which generates power of up to 175 bhp. Apart from these, a 1.5-liter diesel engine will be available, which will generate 117 bhp of power.

Based on the photographs of Mahindra's 5-door Thar that have appeared thus far, it appears that its design will be similar to the present 3-door Thar. But its body panels will be entirely new. The new Thar will also have a boxy appearance with lengthy pillars, a vertical slatted front grille, circular headlamps, flared wheel arches, a spare wheel positioned on an upright tailboard, a muscular bumper section, and rectangular taillights. Changes can be made to the track to improve its stability.

Mahindra's 5-door Thar will include wide legroom, a front center armrest, a rear bench seat with a center armrest, and a rear air vent. A free-standing 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment panel and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster will also be displayed. This Thar will also have a wheelbase of about 300mm longer.

Mahindra's 5-door Thar can be brought in 6 color options. In this, standard features like a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity support, wireless charger, automatic AC, multi-functional steering wheel and roof-mounted speakers, and many other features including multiple airbags, hill start control, and EAC can be seen.
