JDS will save BJP's sinking boat in Karnataka, how effective will this alliance be?

After seeing the attitude of PM Modi and Amit Shah, one thing is clearly understood that they want to ensure victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections at any cost. But the Indian alliance seems to be presenting challenges in his path.

JDS will save BJP's sinking boat in Karnataka, how effective will this alliance be?

BJP national president JP Nadda has announced that Karnataka's strong local party JDS will now be a part of the NDA alliance. The alliance was announced after JDS leader and former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy met Amit Shah and JP Nadda. BJP had won 25 out of 28 seats in Karnataka in the last Lok Sabha elections. But due to the strengthening of Congress here, there was a fear of huge loss to the party here, to overcome which BJP needed the ally of a strong regional party which was fulfilled in the form of JDS.

This time, BJP's problems have increased with the formation of the India alliance. Karnataka is also included in the states where Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra had the most impact. Congress has performed brilliantly and won the Karnataka Assembly elections. After forming the government, Congress has launched a series of popular schemes in the state. In such a situation, it is believed that the performance of Congress in Karnataka can remain intact even in the Lok Sabha elections. If this happens, then the BJP, which won 25 seats last time, may face a tough challenge.

After seeing the attitude of PM Modi and Amit Shah, one thing is clearly understood that they want to ensure victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections at any cost. But the Indian alliance seems to be presenting challenges in his path. Due to this alliance, after Bihar-West Bengal, Karnataka may also be one of the states where BJP may face the biggest challenge. This is the reason why BJP is trying to repair its fort one by one.

By coming together with JDS, BJP may get success in making a dent in the backward-Dalit castes of North and South Karnataka. Bangalore: BJP's hold in Karnataka is still said to be strong, but the party's position in other areas has weakened. The party was making continuous efforts to convert this weakness into strength.

The biggest challenge before the BJP has come in the form of fragmentation of its Lingayat voters. During the Karnataka Assembly elections, Lingayat voters turned their backs on him, leading to a crushing defeat for the party. The party's own mistakes were no less responsible for ensuring the defeat. The party withdrew its veteran Lingayat leader BS Yediyurappa from a key role, Laxman Savadi and Jagadish Shettar were denied tickets from their seats.

Angered by the party's policies, these leaders turned to Congress. Along with him, his voters also changed sides. The effect of this was that BJP had to face a crushing defeat. Since Congress has already made a plan to break these rebel Lingayat leaders from BJP and join them. According to the information received by Amar Ujala, Congress has entrusted the responsibility of bringing the rebel BJP leaders to the Congress side to leaders like Jagadish Shettar and Laxman Savadi.

How effective this plan of Congress can be can be understood from the fact that after the rebellion of these leaders, BJP could not stop its defeat even after the rallies of the Prime Minister. Every trick is being used to prevent the party's defeat in the Lok Sabha elections. At present, BJP feels that it has found a rudder in the form of JDS which can save it from drowning in the flood of Congress in Karnataka.
