Jammu Kashmir: Retired SSP giving Azaan in Baramulla shot by terrorists, search operation continues after the murder

Militants opened fire on Mohammad Shafi, a retired police officer, at Gentmulla, Sheeri Baramulla while he was reciting Azaan in the mosque. He died in this incident. After this incident, a search operation is going on in search of terrorists. Security agencies have learned from sources that terrorists are hiding in the forest to commit murders.

According to the information given by Kashmir Police, terrorists opened fire on a retired police officer Mohammad Shafi in Gantmulla, Sheeri Baramulla while reciting Azaan in the mosque. He was injured in this incident and died while being taken to the hospital. Meanwhile, the area has been cordoned off after the incident.

This morning he had gone to a mosque located near his house to offer namaz as per his rules. At that time there were only a few villagers in the mosque. It is being told that while he was giving Azaan, a terrorist came from behind and fired bullets at him from point-blank range. He fell on the ground drenched in blood and the terrorists thought him dead and fled from there.

Three of the four soldiers who were martyred in the terrorist attack on military vehicles in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir recently will be cremated with full military honours in Rajouri on Sunday. According to sources, the family members of three martyrs from Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand have reached Rajouri, while the family members of the martyr from Bihar have not arrived yet.

The mortal remains of the four martyrs have been kept in the Army's 150 General Hospital in Rajouri. Tributes will be paid to the martyrs here on Sunday morning. After this, the last rites of the martyrs will be performed in Rajouri.
