Iranian President reached Pakistan amid tension with Israel, will emphasize improving relations between the two countries
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi: Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi arrived in Islamabad on Monday on a three-day official visit. Pakistan's Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the Iranian President is accompanied by his wife and a high-level delegation. The statement said that during the arrival of President Ibrahim Raisi, his group also included the Foreign Minister, other cabinet members and senior officials.

Pakistan's Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the Iranian President is accompanied by his wife and a high-level delegation. The statement said that during the arrival of President Ibrahim Raisi, his group also included the Foreign Minister, other cabinet members and senior officials. Pakistan's Foreign Office said that the visit will continue till Wednesday. During the visit, the two Muslim neighbours will try to improve relations after unprecedented military attacks this year.
In addition, the statement stated that Raisi will meet with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other officials in the southern port city of Karachi and the eastern city of Lahore. The government of Karachi declared a public holiday, while major highways in Islamabad were closed in anticipation of Raisi's arrival. The visit by Raisi is regarded as a significant step in the direction of improving relations with Islamabad.
