On Saturday, passengers on Indigo flight 6 E 5314, which was traveling from Chennai to Mumbai, received a bomb threat, which made them anxious. The aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing at Mumbai airport after this.

In response, Indigo released a statement stating that all 172 of the passengers had safely disembarked. Investigations into the plane are ongoing. The aircraft will be returned to the terminal area once all security procedures have been completed.

According to sources, the plane was emergency landed at around 8.45 am and all the passengers were deboarded. This is the second such incident involving an IndiGo flight in the last week. On May 28, an alleged bomb threat was received on an IndiGo flight going from Delhi to Varanasi.

The source said that on Saturday, an emergency landing of IndiGo flight 6E5314 flying on the Chennai-Mumbai route was made after the pilot informed Mumbai ATC about an alleged bomb threat on the plane.'

Confirming the alleged bomb threat on the Chennai-Mumbai flight, IndiGo said in a statement, 'Upon landing in Mumbai, the crew followed the protocol, and the plane was taken to an isolation bay as per the guidelines of the security agency. All the passengers have safely disembarked from the plane, which is currently being investigated. After all the security checks are completed, the plane will be placed back in the terminal area.'
