The third match of the Super-4 stage of Asia Cup-2023 is being played between India and Pakistan at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl.

The match has been stopped for the last one hour due to rain. Light rain continues here. The ground staff is busy removing water from the cover.

Batting first, Team India scored 147 runs for two wickets in 24.1 overs. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul are unbeaten.

Shubman Gill was out after scoring 58 runs. He was caught by Shaheen Shah Afridi at the hands of Shabad Khan. Earlier, captain Rohit Sharma (56 runs) was caught by Shabad Khan at the hands of Faheem Ashraf.

Rohit completed his 50th half-century by hitting a six over midwicket.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma scored the 50th half-century of his ODI career. He completed his half-century by hitting a six over midwicket. He was out after scoring 56 runs on 49 balls. He hit 6 fours and 4 sixes.

Openers made second consecutive century partnership
Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill gave India a fast start. Both of them made a fifty partnership in the first powerplay itself. After the powerplay, Rohit Sharma hit 3 sixes and a four against Shadab Khan. Rohit completed the 50th fifty of his career, but became the victim of Shadab Khan after scoring 56 runs.

With Rohit's wicket, his 121-run partnership with Shubman was broken. Both of them had made a century partnership of 147 runs against Nepal in the last match. This is the 5th century partnership of Rohit-Gill.

After Rohit, Shubman Gill also got out after scoring 58 runs in the 18th over. He was caught out by Shaheen Afridi.

Gill gave an explosive start in the powerplay
Shubman Gill gave a fast start to Team India after losing the toss and coming to bat first. Rohit also hit a six against Shaheen Afridi in the very first over. Gill hit 3-3 fours in Shaheen's 2 overs. The team scored 61 runs without loss after 10 overs.

Team India entered with 2 changes
There have been two changes in the Indian team. Shreyas Iyer is not playing this match due to back injury. KL Rahul has been given a chance in his place. Jasprit Bumrah has been played in place of Mohammed Shami. Rohit said after the toss- 'We wanted to bat after winning the toss. All matches are important for us.
