ICC ranking: Harry Brook caused a stir by defeating Rohit Sharma, Babar Azam slipped to ninth place

England batsman Harry Brook has jumped three places to fourth place in the ICC Test rankings for batsmen. In the first Test against Sri Lanka, he scored 56 and 32 runs to give England a 1-0 series lead. Brook secured fourth place by defeating Babar Azam, Steven Smith, and Rohit Sharma. Azam, who scored 0 and 22 runs in the first Test against Bangladesh, has dropped six spots to ninth place. His compatriot Mohammad Rizwan, who scored 171 not out and 51 runs in the first Test, has jumped seven places to share 10th place with Usman Khawaja. Saud Shakeel, who scored a century in the same Test, has moved up one position to 13th place.

Mushfiqur Rahim, the hero of Bangladesh's historic victory, has jumped seven places to reach the 17th position. He played an innings of 191 runs in the Rawalpindi Test. Sri Lanka's left-arm spinner Prabhat Jayasuriya has jumped one place to ninth in the bowlers' rankings. He took five wickets in the Manchester Test. Chris Woakes has jumped one place to eighth in the all-rounder's rankings. Woakes is in 16th place in the bowlers' rankings.

West Indies batsman Nicholas Pooran, who won the series 3-0 against South Africa, has jumped three places to ninth in the T20 batting rankings, while his teammates Akil Hussain and Gudakesh Moti have reached second and third places in the bowlers' rankings. England's Adil Rashid remains in first place.
