'Governors work as a link between the Center and the states', President Murmu said - Women's participation in society is important
President Murmu: 'In her concluding speech at the two-day conference of governors, President Murmu said that the smooth functioning of all institutions is very important for public welfare and overall development. According to a statement issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Murmu said that meaningful discussions were held at the conference with the aim of creating better coordination between various institutions.
President Draupadi Murmu said on Saturday that in the federal system, governors work as a link between the Center and the states, while Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said that governors should not hesitate to seek information from the state governments.

In her concluding remarks, she said that various groups of Governors came out with their valuable ideas and suggestions for improving the functioning of their office as well as for the welfare of the people. She expressed confidence that these suggestions would be implemented.
The President said that the development of the country depends on the inclusive and rapid growth of the States. President Murmu said that women's participation is extremely important for meaningful and holistic social inclusion.
She said that women empowerment can be strengthened by encouraging women to self-help groups. The path to 'women-led development' can be paved by promoting women-led start-ups.
Vice President Dhankhar said that the two-day conference has left an indelible impression on the minds of all the participants. During the conference, all the participants discussed important issues in detail. He said that the Governors should not hesitate to seek information and maintain continuous dialogue with the respective state governments for effective functioning.
