Gautam Adani took a big decision, Adani Group will now invest $100 billion in energy transition project
Gautam Adani attended Crisil's Infrastructure - the Catalyst for India's Future program today. In this program, he said that Adani Group will invest $100 billion in energy transition projects. Adani Group is taking several steps to promote green energy and infrastructure. Let us know in detail in this report.
Gautam Adani made an important decision about renewable energy development. He stated that the Adani Group will invest more than US $100 billion (about Rs 835 crore) in energy transition projects and manufacturing capabilities.
Gautam Adani further stated that the Adani Group is developing substantial facilities to manufacture electrolyzers for green hydrogen production, wind power turbines, and solar panels, as well as solar parks and wind farms to generate electricity from sunshine.
Regarding green hydrogen, Adani said that it is made by splitting hydrogen from water with the help of an electrolyzer powered by clean energy. It is seen as a potential panacea for decarbonizing industry as well as transport.
Gautam Adani was present at Crisil's 'Infrastructure - the Catalyst for India's Future' event. In this program, he said that energy transition and digital infrastructure are trillion-dollar opportunities that will transform India locally and globally.
Adani said, "Over the next decade, we will invest over US$100 billion in the energy transition and further expand our integrated renewable energy value chain, which today already extends to the manufacturing of every key component required for green energy generation."
Adani further said that Adani Group wants to produce the world's least expensive green electrons which will become the feedstock for many sectors that have to meet sustainability mandates.
For this, Adani Group is already building the world's largest single-site renewable energy park at Khavda in Kutch district (in Gujarat). This single location alone will generate 30 GW of power, taking the total renewable energy capacity to 50 GW.
