Fourth meeting of INDIA alliance on 6 December
Leaders of all 28 parties called to Delhi, election results of five states will be discussed. The fourth meeting of the opposition alliance I.N.D.I.A will be held in Delhi on 6 December. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has called all 28 opposition parties for a meeting.
This is the first meeting of opposition parties after the election results in five states (Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Mizoram). The election results will be discussed in this meeting.
The results of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana assembly elections are coming today. Whereas in Mizoram the counting of votes will take place on December 4.
Last three meetings of INDIA alliance
Third meeting 31 August-1 September: Mumbai
The last and third meeting of INDIA Alliance was held in Mumbai on 31 August-1 September. The Alliance had formed 5 committees in the meeting. These include Campaign Committee, Coordination/Strategy Committee, Media, Social Media and Research Committee. In this meeting, 28 opposition parties had prepared the strategy for the elections held in five states.
Second meeting 17-18 July: Bengaluru
The second meeting of opposition unity was held in Bengaluru on 17–18 July. 26 opposition parties had come together to defeat BJP in the 2024 general elections. In this meeting the name of the alliance of opposition parties was decided as INDIA. Its full form is Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance.
First meeting 23 June: Patna
The first meeting of the opposition alliance was held in Patna. This meeting was led by Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. 15 opposition parties attended the meeting. This meeting was to bring the opposition together to face the Modi government in the next Lok Sabha elections.
21 members of the campaign committee of I.N.D.I.A alliance
The names of 21 members of the campaign committee of I.N.D.I.A alliance are- Gurdeep Singh Sappal (Congress), Sanjay Jha JD (U), Anil Desai (SS), Sanjay Yadav (RJD), PC Chacko (NCP), Champai Soren (JMM), Kiranmoy Nanda (SP), Sanjay Singh (AAP), Arun Kumar (CPI-M), Binoy Vishwam (CPI), Retired Justice Hasnain Masoodi (NC), Shahid Siddiqui (RLD), NK Premachandran, (RSP), G Devarajan ( AIFB), Ravi Rai (CPI-ML), Thirumavalan (VCK), KM Kader Moideen (IUML), Jose K Mani (KC-M), Tiruchi Siva (DMK), Mehboob Baig (PDP) and TMC (name not decided). .
1 CM, one Deputy CM, two former Chief Ministers in the 14-member Coordination Committee
1 CM, 1 Deputy CM, two former CMs, 5 Rajya Sabha and 2 Lok Sabha MPs have been given place in the Opposition's Coordination Committee. Apart from this, two leaders from the Left have been included in the committee.
Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren (JMM), Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav (RJD) are in the committee. There are two former chief ministers from Jammu and Kashmir – Omar Abdullah (NC) and Mehbooba Mufti (PDP).
Five Rajya Sabha MPs – KC Venugopal (Congress), Sanjay Raut (Shiv Sena UBT), Sharad Pawar (NCP), Raghav Chadha (AAP) and Javed Ali Khan (SP).
Two Lok Sabha MPs – Lalan Singh (JDU), Abhishek Banerjee (TMC). D Raja (CPI) and one member from CPI (M). The name of the CPI(M) member has not been announced.
