Congress released the list of 53 candidates of Chhattisgarh
Congress has released the second list for Chhattisgarh assembly elections. In this, 53 candidates have got tickets. The names of Devendra Yadav from Bhilai Nagar and Vikas Upadhyay from Raipur West are included. The ticket of present MLA Anita Sharma from Dharsiwa has been cut.
Earlier 30 candidates were declared, the first list of Rajasthan may come by tomorrow. On the first day of Navratri, the first list was released, in which 30 candidates were declared. Congress candidates are yet to be announced for 7 seats in the state. There are total 90 seats in Chhattisgarh.
Waiting for the first list of Rajasthan
Congress had released the first list of 229 candidates for MP, Chhattisgarh and Telangana on October 15. Among these, names of 144 out of 230 candidates from Madhya Pradesh, 30 out of 90 from Chhattisgarh and 55 out of 119 from Telangana were declared. On October 16, names of candidates were announced for 39 out of 40 seats in Mizoram. No list has come for Rajasthan with 200 seats.
Names of candidates yet to be announced for 411 seats in 5 states
Names of candidates have not been decided on 200 seats in Rajasthan, 86 in Madhya Pradesh, 60 in Chhattisgarh, 64 in Telangana and one seat in Mizoram. Overall, names of candidates are yet to be announced for 411 seats in all five states.
Rahul-Priyanka will start the election campaign with a bus journey in Telangana today.
Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will start the election campaign in Telangana on Wednesday with a bus tour. They will reach Begumpet airport at 3:30 pm by special flight. From here both will reach Ramappa temple by helicopter at around 4.30 pm.
According to party sources, after offering prayers at the temple, both the leaders will start the about 30 km long bus journey to Bhupalpally. Congress MLA from Mulugu Dansari Anasuya told news agency PTI that Priyanka will return to Delhi today itself after the rally.
Rahul Gandhi will stay in Telangana for 3 days
According to Congress sources, Rahul will stay in Bhupalpally on October 18. On October 19, he will meet workers of government mining company Singareni Collieries and attend meetings in Peddapalli and Karimnagar. On October 20, he will attend party programs in Armur and Nizamabad besides a farmers' rally in Jagtial.
