In the border district of Kupwara in North Kashmir, a flood of water is flowing all around after a cloudburst on Sunday. Many vehicles were swept away in this. Houses and bridges have also suffered significant damage. The orgy of rain continues in Himachal Pradesh as well. Three people have gone missing due to a cloudburst in Shimla and Kullu. In a separate incident in Shimla itself, two people were killed after being hit by a landslide.

Teams of the district administration are reaching out to take stock of the flood-affected areas.

Standing crops have been extensively damaged due to the flood. Along with that, some residential houses have also been damaged by this. According to the local people, a bridge in Shimriyal village was also washed away due to the strong current of water. Now contact with the villagers remained cut off. People suspect many cattle would also have been washed away in this flood. However, no information about this has been revealed yet.

Due to heavy rains in the Akhnoor area of the Jammu district, there was a flash flood in the Chenab River. After this, hundreds of acres of land got submerged. The administration launched a rescue operation for the affected people. In view of the threat of rising river water levels, 105 people have been evacuated from the area. According to the Meteorological Department, it may rain in the coming days.
