CID served notice to Chandrababu Naidu's son Nara Lokesh, accused of corruption in Inner Ring Road case.
On Saturday, Andhra Pradesh Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officer served a notice to Nara Lokesh, son of TDP leader and former CM Chandrababu Naidu, at the residence of TDP MP Jaydev Galla in Delhi. He is accused of corruption in the Inner Ring Road case.

On Saturday, Andhra Pradesh Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officials reached the residence of Delhi-based TDP MP Jaydev Galla. After reaching there, CID officials served a notice to TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh in the Inner Ring Road case. CID DCP said, we have served them a notice. He has replied to the notice. He will appear in the case on October 4.
On Friday, Nara Lokesh, son of TDP leader and former CM Chandrababu Naidu, suffered a setback in the Amaravati Inner Ring Road scam case. In fact, the High Court had rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Nara Lokesh in this scam case. The High Court had also directed Nara Lokesh to cooperate in the police investigation. The High Court has directed the police to issue a notice to Nara Lokesh under Section 41A of CrPC in this case.
High Court refused to grant relief
Let us tell you that CID is investigating this scam. CID itself had registered a case against Nara Lokesh, son of TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu. On this, Nara Lokesh's legal advisory team filed an anticipatory bail petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court, but the court rejected the petition on Friday and asked Nara Lokesh to cooperate in the CID investigation. Let us tell you that in the notice given under Section 41A of CrPC, Nara Lokesh will have to appear before the police officer for questioning.
What is the allegation against Nara Lokesh?
CID alleges that Nara Lokesh earned profit by changing the order of Amravati Inner Ring Road and played an important role in the scam. It is alleged that in the government of Andhra Pradesh between 2014-2019, high officials were involved in corruption and during this period, the designing of the master plan of Amaravati and the plan to connect the ring road and other roads was rigged. There are many other accused in this case also. Nara Lokesh has been made the 14th accused in this case.
