Chandrayaan-4: Preparation to bring soil from the moon, 350 kg rover will land, know ISRO's next mission

After the success of Chandrayaan-3, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is now focusing on its next project Chandrayaan-4. Giving information about its next project, ISRO Center Director Nilesh Desai said that after the successful soft-landing of the Chandrayaan-3 lander on the Moon, work is now being done on two other lunar missions Lupex and Chandrayaan-4. The goal of this mission is to bring back soil samples from the Moon. This time a rover 10 times heavier will be launched. Desai said that the landing in this mission will be similar to Chandrayaan-3.

During the 62nd Foundation Day celebrations of the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology in Pune, Nilesh Desai, Director of the Space Applications Centre, gave information about the Chandrayaan-4 mission. He said that through this mission a sample of soil has to be brought back from the surface of the moon. This time we are going to work on the polar exploration mission of the Moon.

Nilesh Desai said that after the Chandrayaan 3 mission, we are now going to work on the joint lunar polar exploration mission Lupex in collaboration with Japanese space agency JAXA. He said that in the Chandrayaan-3 mission, we went up to 70 degrees. But with the LUPEX mission, we will go 90 degrees to observe the dark region of the Moon. Not only this, we will send a rover that is about 10 times heavier than before. He said that a big rover would land in the dark area of the Moon, which would weigh 350 kg. The weight of the Chandrayaan-3 rover was only 30 kg.
