Black magic attempt on Maldives President, know why Mohammed Muizzu got his own minister arrested
On hearing the name of black magic, you may first remember your own country India, but if you think that black magic happens only in India, then you are completely wrong. This news about black magic has come from nowhere else but from Maldives, a country that has been in the news for the past few months. Know what is the matter of this black magic.

Sensational news has come in from Maldives. There was an alleged news related to black magic against President Mohammed Muizzu. Police acted on it, and a serving minister of the Muizzu government was arrested.
According to local media, State Minister in the Ministry of Environment Shamnaz Ali was produced before the court after his arrest. He has been sent to a seven-day remand. The police spokesperson also confirmed the minister's arrest to news agency EFE. Apart from the minister, two other accused have also been arrested.
The police have raided Shamnaz's house before and seized items that could be used for black magic. Before taking over the environment ministry, she was working as a minister of state in the Presidential Palace.
The Ex-husband of Shamanaz, Adam Rameez, too, has served with Muizzu in the city council and is a minister in the President's Office. Black magic or fundita or sihuru, as it is locally called, is fast-spreading in the Maldives, though it is considered a heinous crime in Islamic jurisprudence.
In May, police arrested a 60-year-old man for allegedly practicing black magic on the account of his client, a ruling party member running for parliamentary elections. In December 2015, the Islamic Ministry issued a public statement warning that 'black magic' was getting too common in society, adding such magic practices were to be avoided.
