Eden Gardens wall collapses World Cup 2023: Part of the outer wall of the Eden Gardens ground has collapsed after colliding with an earth-moving machine. However, no one got injured in this. It is a matter of concern that this happens two days before the match of a mega tournament like the World Cup.

Not a single match of the World Cup 2023 has been played so far at the Eden Gardens ground in Kolkata. The first match here will be played between Netherlands and Bangladesh on 28th October i.e. Saturday. Earlier, a major accident had happened in the stadium. According to a report in the daily English newspaper 'Times of India', a part of the outer wall of the stadium collapsed two days before the match.

According to reports, part of the wall has collapsed after being hit by an earth-moving machine. However, no one got injured in this. The part of the wall that collapsed is between Gates 3 and 4, and close to one of the floodlight towers at the stadium. It is a matter of concern that this happens two days before the match of a mega tournament like the World Cup.

Cricket Association of Bengal officials said the accident occurred during repair work and efforts were being made to repair the damaged area as soon as possible.

Let us tell you that India will play against South Africa on this ground on 5th November. On November 11, England will face Pakistan and on November 16, the second semi-final will be held at the same ground.
