Australian Open: 44-year-old Rohan Bopanna created history, entered the semi-finals with world number-1 rank

Indian tennis star Rohan Bopanna has created history with his tremendous performance in the Australian Open. In the Australian Open Men's Doubles, the pair of Rohan Bopanna and Matt Ebden have entered the semi-finals after winning 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) in the quarterfinals. With this, 44-year-old Rohan Bopanna has become world number one along with Ebden. The pair of Rohan Bopanna and Matt Ebden have defeated the sixth-seeded Argentinian pair of Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni.

In the quarter-final match of the Australian Open, Bopanna and Ebden faced Argentina's Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni. Bopanna-Ebden dominated the opposition players from the beginning and did not give them any chance to recover till the end. The Bopanna-Ebden pair has reached the top of the men's doubles world rankings by reaching the semi-finals of the Australian Open.

Earlier, Indian tennis star Rohan Bopanna and his Australian partner Matt Ebden had defeated Wesley Koolhof of the Netherlands and Nikola Mektic of Croatia in straight sets.
