Athletes will bring ACs from their countries to Paris Olympics 2024, the reason is shocking

In the Paris Olympic Games starting on 26 July 2024, all eyes are on the sports village, which is being built with new technology. Due to the Paris Olympic Games being held in July, there will be a lot of heat. To avoid this, France has adopted the technology of a geothermal cooling system (geothermal energy). Under this, there will be no air conditioner facility in the rooms and the athletes' rooms will be kept cool with geothermal energy, but many countries participating in these games do not fully trust this system.

Although French officials have faith in their geothermal cooling system, many countries are skeptical about it. According to a report, these countries have made a new plan to protect their players from the heat and have ordered portable ACs so that their athletes can get good sleep and perform at their highest level in the competition.

Aside from America, Australia, Britain, Germany, Canada, and Italy, approximately 20 major countries say that environmental protection is important to them as well, but it is also critical that our players receive adequate rest. That is why we will install portable air conditioners in the rooms of our athletes.

Strath Gordon, head of public affairs for the Australian Olympic Committee, one of the countries that has chosen ACs, stated that our athletes are used to living in temperatures lower than those provided in the sports village. At the same time, it is expected to be extremely hot in Paris in July.
