There is relief news for the passengers from Air India. Air India is now resuming its flights. An airline official said that the company is re-stabilizing the network. At the same time, the Cabin Crew Union said that all the members who reported ill had joined duty. However, till now no official comment has been made by Air India Express.

The Air India Express Employees Union issued a release on Sunday. In the release, the company said all cabin crew members who reported illness have returned. There was no delay from the cabin crew. Nevertheless, due to a bug in the company's scheduling software, there are still reports of workers reporting absenteeism. In addition, the official stated that flight operations are being gradually resumed. By Tuesday morning, all will be well.

The Tata Group owns Air India. The airline had to scale back operations after some cabin crew members unexpectedly took leave, leaving it with about 380 daily flights. The airline flies 260 domestic flights and 120 international flights per day on average. But on Sunday, twenty flights were canceled. About 23 percent of the daily capacity, or 85 flights, were canceled on Thursday.

A section of the cabin crew had gone on strike alleging mismanagement. Due to this, the company was facing problems in operations. To resolve this issue, a meeting of Air India Express Union and management was held on May 9 at the Chief Labor Commissioner's office in Dwarka, Delhi. The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of Air India Express management also attended the conciliation meeting. In this, the cabin crew of Air India Express decided to call off the strike and return back to duty. The company had also rejected the dismissal of 25 members.
