Adani Group, led by billionaire businessman Gautam Adani, is planning to create an integrated solar manufacturing capacity of 10 gigawatts by 2027 so that the company can take advantage of the changes coming in the energy sector. This information was given by sources close to the company.

News agency PTI reported that Adani Group has a solar manufacturing capacity of 4 gigawatts. At the same time, Adani Solar has confirmed that it has export orders of 3000 MW, which are to be completed in the next 15 months.

Recently Adani Group has raised $394 million from Barclays PLC and Deutsche Bank AG for Soral Manufacturing. India's solar energy production capacity has increased to 71.10 GW by July 2023, which was 2.63 GW in March 2014. However, India's solar manufacturing capacity is still much less in comparison.

Adani Solar started manufacturing in 2016. At that time the company was manufacturing 1.2 gigawatt cells and modules. In the last six years, the company has increased its capacity 3 times to 4 GW modules and 4 GW cells.

India's largest solar PV cell and module manufacturing capacity has been set up in Mundra SEZ by Adani Group. Adani Solar has sold 7 GW modules in India along the world.
