1. Sam and Greg return to OpenAI

On November 22, OpenAI reported that company co-founders Sam Altman and Greg Brockman would return. A new board is formed with Sam returning as CEO and Greg returning as President.

The previous board of OpenAI had fired both of them on November 17 and made Mira Murati the interim CEO. 505 out of 700 employees of OpenAI had threatened to resign en masse for Sam's return. After the employees protested against the company, the old board was removed and a new board was formed, which confirmed the return of Sam and Brockman.

2. Advani won 18th billiards title

Indian cueist Pankaj Advani defeated Saurav Kothari by 1000-416 points in the final of the IBSF World Billiards Championship in Doha, the capital of Qatar on 21 November.

Advani has won the World Championship title for the 26th time. He was awarded the Arjuna Award in 2004 and Khel Ratna in 2006. He was also awarded Padma Shri in 2009 and Padma Bhushan in 2018.

4. Same sex marriage approved in Thailand

On November 21, the Government of Thailand approved same-sex marriage in a cabinet meeting. The government will present this new bill in Parliament in December, after which it will be made a law as soon as it is approved. The term same-sex marriage in Thailand's civil and commercial codes will be changed to 'individual and marriage partner'. The pension fund law will also be changed to recognize same sex couples. If this happens, Thailand will become the third Asian country after Taiwan and Nepal where gay marriage will be legal.
