1. The country's first live hearing took place in Madhya Pradesh High Court.
On December 21, Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court Ravi Malimath started the live video hearing. Currently, the courts of Patan and Sihora of Jabalpur district have been included under this pilot project. After Patan and Sihora, soon the hearing of all the lower courts of the state will be live. For the first time in the country, live arrangements have been made for all the district-tehsil courts in the High Court of any state.

2. Olympian Sakshi Malik quit wrestling
On December 21, the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) elected Sanjay Singh as its president. After this, Olympian Sakshi Malik, resident of Rohtak, Haryana, has announced to quit wrestling. Sakshi Malik held a press conference with Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia in Delhi.

Sakshi Malik won the bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics in the year 2020. He has three medals (Gold, Silver, Bronze) in the Commonwealth Games and 4 medals (3 bronze and one silver) in the Asian Championships.

3. Telecom bill passed in Parliament
'Telecom Bill 2023' has been passed in the Rajya Sabha on 21 December. In this bill, there is a provision of 3 years in jail and a fine of up to Rs 50 lakh for purchasing a fake SIM. The Central Government has offered this bill to stop fraud and other similar crimes through fake SIM cards in the country, this bill will become a law after the President signs it. This bill allows the government to take over, manage or suspend any telecom service or network for national security reasons. The new Telecommunication Bill will replace the 138-year-old Indian Telegraph Act.

4. PM's committee will select election commissioners
On December 21, the bill presented by Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal in the Lok Sabha regarding the appointment of Chief Election Commissioner of India (CEC) and Election Commissioner (EC) has been passed. According to this bill, now the CEC and EC will be appointed by a committee headed by the Prime Minister.

Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said that the new law will replace the Election Commission Act- 1991.

Now the appointment of CEC and EC in the country will be done through an appointment committee consisting of the Prime Minister, the Leader of the Opposition or the leader of the largest opposition party in the Lok Sabha and a Union Minister. In this, the service conditions related to appointment, eligibility for the post, search committee, tenure, salary, resignation and removal from the post, leaves and pension have been decided.

Indian Institute of Management Lucknow has released the result of CAT 2023. This time 14 students have scored perfect 100 percentile. Of these, 11 are engineering graduates. Apart from these, 29 students have scored 99.99 percentile. Apart from this, 29 students have scored 99.98 percentile. CAT-2023 result can be checked by visiting the official website iimcat.ac.in.

2. Admit card of CSIR UGC NET 2023 exam released.
National Testing Agency i.e. NTA has released the admit card for CSIR UGC NET 2023 exam to be held in December. Candidates can download the admit card by visiting csirnet.nta.ac.in. This exam will be held in two shifts between 26th to 28th December. The first shift will be from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift will be from 3 pm to 6 pm.

3. Number of girls in schools increased by 31%
Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan told in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday that between 2014-15 to 2021-22. The number of girls has increased by 31 percent. The minister also said that during this period, the number of girls coming from Schedule Caste has increased by 50 percent and the number of girls coming from Muslim community has increased by 45 percent.
