YouTube Shorts is a 60-second video format. It was launched globally in India in the year 2020. Here at the YouTube Broadcast-2024 program, Neal Mohan said that YouTube has become a platform where people can tell their stories.

He said that Indian creators are creating videos inspired by local trends that define global culture. YouTube is number one in terms of reach and watch time in India and we have crossed a huge milestone.

Shorts, launched first in India, has more than one trillion views. He said that YouTube is the most streamed series on Connected TV (CTV) in India and its viewership has grown four times in the last three years.
