World Cup 2023: Threat to blow up the stadium before the semi-final match, police on alert
World Cup 2023: An unidentified person has threatened a terrorist attack before the first semi-final match to be played between India vs New Zealand at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai today. After which Mumbai Police and security agencies have come on alert.

A threat has been received to blow up Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium before the first semi-final match of the World Cup 2023 on Wednesday. After which the police have come on alert and in view of security, a large number of forces have been deployed in the stadium and surrounding areas. Actually, an unknown person has shared a threatening post on social media platform X. After which Mumbai Police has come into action. The message said that a "nefarious" incident would be carried out at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium during the India vs New Zealand match, police said in a statement. Along with the threatening message, the unidentified person had also sent a picture of a gun, grenades, and bullets.
Earlier on Tuesday, Mumbai Police busted black marketing of tickets for the first semi-final match to be played between India vs New Zealand. Police have arrested two people with two VIP tickets worth Rs 2 lakh 40 thousand. Police said that two VIP tickets worth Rs 1.2 lakh each have been recovered from the accused.
