Google's mobile payment service Google Pay was successful in saving Rs 12000 crore from scammers in India. The company said that with Google Pay, users are immediately issued alerts regarding suspicious transactions.

Moreover, on getting information about any transaction being fraudulent, the company takes immediate action and blocks the transaction. The company saved this amount of thousands of crores from scammers in the year 2022.

The company informed that the Google Play Protect tool of Play Store has now been made even better for the users. The company has removed about 3500 loan-giving apps from the Play Store, which were fake.

The company has said that Google Play Protect has been further improved with real-time code-level scanning. Actually, there are many such fake apps available on the Google Play Store to trap users and promise to give loans at low interest rates.

On the other hand, to ensure that users do not suffer any loss due to any kind of fake app on Play Store, the facility of Play Protect setting is available on Play Store.

The Play Protest setting is already enabled on the Google Play Store. With this setting, the user gets help in downloading the right app from the Play Store. Many times it is difficult for users to identify fake apps, which is why Google offers the facility of this tool to protect its users from harmful apps.
