Wipro filed a case against former CFO Jatin Dalal: Left the company on December 1 and joined Cognizant

IT company Wipro Limited has filed a case against its former Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jatin Dalal. This case against Jatin has been filed in the Civil Court of Bengaluru. The company has given this information in its statement.

However, the reasons behind registering the case are not known. The first hearing of the case was held on 28 November. Its next hearing is to be held on January 3, 2024. Earlier, Jatin Dalal had applied to the court to resolve the matter through mediation or negotiation.

Jatin Dalal left Wipro on December 1 this year and joined Cognizant in the post of EFO. Jatin was associated with Wipro for the last 20 years. During this period he worked in many positions. He has held the post of CFO of the company since 2015. In the year 2019, he was also given the additional responsibility of President of the company.

Earlier, Wipro also filed a case against its former SVP and health care and medical devices head Mohammad Haq. Before Jatin, Haq joined Cognizant as SVP and Cyfe Sciences as Business Unit Head.

Wipro released the results for Q2FY24 i.e. the second quarter of the financial year 2024 on October 18. The company's net profit in the July-September quarter stood at Rs 2,646.3 crore, down 0.48% on an annual basis.

A year ago, in Q2FY23, the company had made a profit of Rs 2,659 crore. The company's consolidated revenue from operations declined by 0.1% in this quarter to Rs 22,516 crore, which was Rs 22,540 crore in the same quarter last year.
