According to the information, police officials said that the terrorists targeted a police check post in the Gul Imam area of Tank in Dera Ismail Khan. According to the police spokesperson, the police personnel identified as Waheed Gul was injured in the firing by terrorists, ARY News reported.

Earlier on Friday, at least 14 Pakistani soldiers were killed when terrorists attacked two vehicles carrying security forces in Gwadar, Pakistan, Pakistan-based Geo News reported citing the army's media wing.

On Friday, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said terrorists attacked the security convoy when it was moving from Pasni towards Ormara in Gwadar district. According to ISPR, Pakistan's security forces are committed to eliminating the menace of terrorism in the country.

Pakistan's interim Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani condemned the terrorist attack on the security convoy. Posting on social media, Jilani said, "We strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack on our soldiers. 14 of our brave sons were martyred in this attack."

"Such acts are completely condemnable. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the martyrs and the injured. Pakistan stands firm against terrorists," he said in a post on Twitter.
