'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan should be taken as a social movement', said Supreme Court judge Justice Sanjeev Khanna

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan: Today the 154th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi is being celebrated across the country. Bapu's birth anniversary is also celebrated as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. On this occasion, Supreme Court judge Justice Sanjeev Khanna participated in a function organized by the Supreme Court Bar Association. In this function, he appealed to see the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan as a social movement.

Today is the 154th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The whole country is remembering the Father of the Nation on Bapu's birth anniversary. Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary is also celebrated as the 'Clean India Campaign'. The cleanliness campaign, which was started on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in the year 2014, is being celebrated today in the entire country. On this occasion, Supreme Court judge Justice Sanjiv Khanna participated in a function organized by the Supreme Court Bar Association to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri in the premises of the apex court.

Speaking at the function on Monday, he said that Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Swachhata Abhiyan should be taken as a 'social movement' for a clean India so that India remains 'healthy and happy'.

Justice Sanjiv Khanna said, "We started 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' on Gandhiji's birthday. It is a social movement and it should be taken as a social movement. Unless it is taken as a social movement Until then it will not be able to achieve its goals and objectives."

Justice Khanna said that a cleaner and healthier India is healthier and happier. He further said that some people become immortal by their words and actions and underlined various aspects of Gandhi's philosophy. Speaking on the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi he included all the life philosophies of Bapu like non-violence, Satyagraha, fasting for social and communal harmony, no malice towards anyone, and simplicity in life.

Justice Khanna said that Mahatma Gandhi is revered across the world and the true tribute to the Father of the Nation is to internalize his words and put his ideas into action.
