The third day of the first Test match between South Africa and West Indies is over. South Africa has made a stronghold due to the deadly bowling of Keshav Maharaj. At stumps on the third day, West Indies have scored 145 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. They are still 212 runs behind South Africa's first innings.

Maharaj bowled a marathon spell of 28 overs. The game was suspended for 90 minutes due to rain on Friday. After the match resumed, West Indies really struggled to get runs. South African spinner Keshav Maharaj used all those conditions in getting three wickets. West Indies is stumbling in the Test at this moment.

At one time, the West Indies score read 114-1. Thereafter, Keshav sent Keesy Carty and Alick Athanaz back in the pavilion continuously and the score of the Caribbean team became 124-4. Jason Holder 13 and Kavem Hodge 11 ended the session till stumps. Carty turned out to be the top scorer for his team scoring 42 runs.

Earlier on Friday, West Indies wrapped up South Africa's first innings at 357 runs. Tony de Jorri played an innings of 78 runs for South Africa. Captain Bavuma scored 86 runs. Wiaan Mulder remained unbeaten and contributed 41 runs. Rabada contributed 21 runs in the end. Warrican took four wickets and Jaden Seals took three wickets.
