Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets get two new security features, privacy will be stronger than before
Samsung has introduced two new features for its devices, which have been brought with the aim of improving security and privacy. Quick Share Private Sharing is a new mode introduced within Samsung's Quick Share feature designed to enable secure file sharing between Samsung devices.

Samsung frequently rolls out new features to improve the security and privacy of its smartphones/tablets. Samsung has now announced an upgrade to its Galaxy Device Security Platform. The company is adding two new features to its devices, which are Quick Share Private Sharing and Samsung Cloud Enhanced Data Protection.
These features are aimed at providing Galaxy smartphone and tablet users with more control over the data archived in Samsung Cloud and strengthening security.
Quick Share Private Sharing is a new mode introduced within Samsung's Quick Share feature designed to enable secure file sharing between Samsung devices. This mode allows users to select a time for shared files. This ensures that the file stops being accessible once the set time is over.
In addition, users can decide who will be able to open and edit the file. Importantly, these settings can be changed at any time to maintain control over the file view.
Files shared via Quick Share Private Sharing can only be viewed by the recipient in read-only format, preventing further sharing. Samsung also claims that screenshots are blocked to maintain privacy, and files are secured with blockchain-based encryption technology to ensure strong security.
With the launch of the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung introduced the "Enhanced Data Protection Feature" for Samsung Cloud. This new feature offers end-to-end encryption for all synced data and backups, which means data archived in your Samsung Cloud account can only be decrypted on the original Samsung device
Users can access this feature by going to their device's Settings, then go to Security and Privacy options. Then, users need to click on More security settings and Enhanced data protection. Once done, turn on the toggles for 'Encrypt backup data' and 'Encrypt synced data'. When you turn on this feature, you will receive a recovery code to access your Samsung account whenever needed.
