Ratnesh Sada Ministerial Oath: In Bihar's capital Patna, Governor Vishwanath Arlekar administered the oath of office and secrecy to MLA Ratnesh Sada. Ratnesh has been made a minister from the JDU quota. He was made a minister following the resignation of Hindustani Awam Morcha – Secular (Hum-S) Santosh Manjhi.

Santosh Manjhi is the reason for this sudden change. Santosh Manjhi, an MLA from the Hum party, had resigned from the Nitish cabinet. Because of this, a seat became vacant. To fill this, Governor Vishwanath Arlekar has administered the oath of office and secrecy to Ratnesh Sada. Ratnesh is being made a minister from the JDU quota. In Bihar Assembly Elections 2020, Ratnesh Sada contested as a JDU candidate from the Sonvarsha assembly reserved seat. And Congress candidate Tarni Rishidev was defeated by 13466 votes. Ratnesh is always a whip of JDU.
State Congress President Dr. Akhilesh Prasad Singh said that this is not cabinet expansion. The one vacant post of a minister is being filled. The government will brainstorm on cabinet expansion after the general meeting of opposition unity to be held on June 23.
