Rahul Gandhi interviewed Satyapal Malik; Malik said- I am giving it in writing, now Modi government will not come.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi interviewed former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik on October 14. In this 28-minute conversation, Rahul discussed many issues with Satyapal Malik including violence in Manipur, Pulwama attack, farmers' movement and caste census. Malik told Rahul that only 6 months are left for the elections. I am writing that now Modi government will not come.

Rahul talked to Malik on 6 issues
1. Jammu and Kashmir
- Rahul: What is your opinion about Jammu and Kashmir?
- Malik: The people there cannot be cured by coercion or force. You can do anything by winning over the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
- Rahul: How will there be peace there?
- Malik: I think their statehood should be returned. He withdrew Article 370 and created a Union Territory. They were afraid that the state police might revolt, but the Jammu and Kashmir police always supported the central government. Amit Shah promises that he will return statehood. Therefore, they should return statehood to Jammu and Kashmir as soon as possible and hold elections there.
- Rahul: Are more incidents happening in the state now?
- Malik: Incidents are happening more now than before. Violence is happening every day in Rajouri and Kashmir Valley.
2. Pulwama attack
- Rahul: What is your opinion about Pulwama attack?
- Malik: I am not saying that the attack was carried out by the BJP, but the party made political use of this attack. PM Modi tells people to remember the martyrdom of Pulwama when they go to vote.
- Rahul: When I came to know about the Pulwama attack, I immediately reached the airport, but there I was locked in a room and was not allowed to leave. I fought and got out of there. Seeing all this, I felt as if a show was going on or an event was being created.
- Malik: The day this attack happened, PM Modi was shooting in National Corbett Park. I called them several times, but did not get in touch. After some time, when he called, I told him that many of our soldiers were martyred and all this happened due to our fault, then he immediately told me to remain silent and not say anything on this. I thought there would be an investigation into the matter, but till date nothing has happened.
- Rahul: Why and what caused the Pulwama attack?
- Malik: The martyred soldiers had asked for 5 aircraft from the Home Ministry, but their demand was not fulfilled. He was then forced to walk off the road and met with an accident.
- Rahul: How did so much explosive reach there?
- Malik: All the explosives had arrived from Pakistan. A vehicle with explosives was roaming around for ten days, but the system did not pay attention. Not only this, the traffic was not stopped on the road through which the soldiers were passing. Traffic was moving along with the army convoy, although this is not the rule.
3. Caste census
- Rahul: Be it media, bureaucracy or any institution. There is no representation of OBC, Dalit or Tribal here. What is your opinion on this?
- Malik: Lohia had said that 48% of the upper caste people used to join the committee formed for the independence of Goa, even if they did not want to. Now this system has been made.
- Rahul: How can this be changed?
- Malik: Their percentage will have to be fixed everywhere. Apart from this, the consciousness of those sections will also have to be increased.
4. Manipur violence
- Rahul: What do you think about Manipur?
- Malik: The government has no control in Manipur. The Chief Minister is not able to do anything, but he is not being removed.
- Rahul: Manipur is no longer just a state, it has become two states. The government has really lost control.
- Malik: Only 6 months are left for the elections. I am writing that now Modi government will not come.
5. Ideology of RSS
- Rahul: I think there is a fight between two ideologies in Indian politics. One is Gandhian and the other is RSS. Both are visions of Hindutva. There is an ideology of non-violence and brotherhood. Second of hatred and violence. What do you have to say about this?
- Malik: I think that India will survive as a country only when it follows the path of liberal Hinduism. This was Gandhi's vision. He went from village to village. Then we arrived at this vision. The country will be able to function only if it is based on this ideology, otherwise it will fall into pieces. We have to live together without fighting.
6. Country issue
- Rahul: Whenever there is any pressure on the government, they come out with something. When I discussed Gautam Adani, first the TV was switched off, then I was thrown out of Parliament. Then there was talk of special session, in which there was discussion on India and India. In the end these people brought the Women's Reservation Bill. That too will not come now, but after 10 years. Be it Pulwama or women's issue, they have a good way of diverting the discussion.
- Malik: They make an event out of anything. Then take advantage in your favor. The same was done with the Women's Reservation Bill. Women are not supposed to get anything, but in this way it was shown that what a great work they have done. There was no need for a new Parliament, but PM Modi had to lay down his stone that he has built it. That old building would still have lasted for many years.
- Rahul: When you raised the issue of Pulwama and farmers' movement, you were threatened. What is your opinion on this?
- Malik: The law is that the person who complains cannot be punished. When I complained, they were not interrogated, no investigation was done, they came three times to interrogate me. I said- Whatever you do, you will not be able to harm me. I am a beggar, I have nothing. Getting fed up, the officers said that sir, we are doing a job. They too have compulsions.
