A 35-year-old employee of Paytm Payments Bank Ltd in Indore has died by suicide due to stress over job loss, police said on Monday. According to the police, according to preliminary investigation, Paytm employee Gaurav Gupta was under a lot of stress for the last few days and he was afraid 24 hours that Paytm Payments company could be closed any time and he could lose his job. We are currently investigating the reasons for his suicide. Police say Gupta allegedly hanged himself at his home on Sunday. According to the police, they did not find any suicide note from the spot.
The Reserve Bank has barred PPBL from accepting deposits and credits from any customer after March 15 due to persistent non-compliance of Paytm Payments Bank and continued material supervisory concerns at the bank. RBI has also banned Paytm's FASTag after March 15.
