The FBI has launched an investigation against Mike Jeffries, former CEO of clothing retail company Abercrombie & Fitch, who has been accused of sexually exploiting men. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has launched this investigation following a media report which claimed that the former CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch (A&F) sexually harassed men at events around the world.
According to a media report, a civil lawsuit against Mike Jeffries and his British partner also claims they operate a sex-trafficking business. Currently, the federal investigation agency is taking statements of potential witnesses and issuing summons. However, a lawyer for Jeffries declined to comment on the issue.
Sources told the BBC that FBI agents specializing in alleged sex crimes and federal prosecutors for the Eastern District of New York are investigating the case. In October a BBC podcast series and documentary revealed allegations that Mike Jeffries, along with his partner Matthew Smith, had forced young men to have sex at parties they attended.
