Microsoft bans Android tells employees to use only iPhone
Android Ban: This was announced in an e-mail sent by Microsoft China to employees. Due to the ban on the Google Play Store in China, users have to depend on Huawei and Xiaomi's app stores.

On its part, Microsoft has banned Android in China. The employees of the company will now have to switch over to an iPhone soon, reported The Post. Microsoft employees in China have been reportedly ordered to dump their Android smartphones for iPhones by September 2024. An e-mail that Microsoft China sent out to employees reportedly announced this. Another order reportedly has gone out in its Hong Kong office.
According to Amar Ujala, a message has been sent out informing employees that an iPhone 15 would be given by the company to all employees who are using Android smartphones, especially from Chinese brands like Huawei or Xiaomi. It also reportedly planned to set up a center in China through which Staff will be able to get iPhones.
One of the major reasons which is coming forward for Microsoft's ban on Android is that Google Play Store is banned in China. People face difficulty downloading Android apps in such a situation. Users have to fall back on Huawei and Xiaomi's app stores due to the ban on the Google Play Store in China. Microsoft is soon to roll out a new login system that identifies which employee is logging in from an iPhone and who's logging in from Android.
