Lyricist Dr. Avnish Rahi’s ‘Main Bhookh Hoon’ Sets World Record; Saina Nehwal to Honour Him
From Aligarh to the Global Literary Stage, the Voice of ‘Main Bhookh Hoon’ Resonates Worldwide
Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh) [India], August 17: On the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day, senior lyricist, writer and educationist from Aligarh, Dr. Avnish Rahi, will be honoured with the “Global Literary Innovation Award” for his pioneering literary creation, the song epic “Main Bhookh Hoon: Ek-Yug-Kavya-Samhita” (roti se Rashtra tak ki vedana).
Dr. Rahi’s work has been recognised as a world record by the Golden Book of World Records. “Main Bhookh Hoon” has been presented as the world’s first three-dimensional song epic, offering a unique readable, audible and visual literary experience. Giving poetic expression to human sensitivity, social concerns and national consciousness—from the hunger for bread to the larger aspirations of society and the nation—the work connects traditional song literature with an innovative form of presentation.
The “Global Literary Innovation Award” will be presented on August 22, 2026, at a special ceremony of the “National Literary Word Festival”, being organised in New Delhi under the aegis of Kitescraft Productions LLP.
The Chief Guest of the ceremony will be Padma Bhushan Saina Nehwal, who will honour Dr. Avnish Rahi with a memento, certificate and commemorative insignia.
The central concern of “Main Bhookh Hoon” is to view hunger not merely as the need for food, but as an expression of the larger questions confronting human beings, society and the nation. Through this distinctive literary vision, the work gives voice to human sensitivity, social consciousness and the broader national discourse.
The National Literary Word Festival will bring together distinguished personalities from across the country representing literature, art, education, sports and other creative fields.
