Lindy Cameron will now be the new High Commissioner of Britain to India. Lindy Cameron will replace Alex Ellis. The British government issued a statement saying, 'Lindy Cameron has been appointed British High Commissioner to the Republic of India. She will replace Alex Ellis, who has been posted to another diplomatic service.
According to the statement, Lindy Cameron will start working in Delhi this month. Prior to this, Lindy Cameron served as the National Cyber Security Center's Chief Executive, a role she has held since 2020. In addition, Lindy served as the Northern Ireland Office's Director General in the United Kingdom. It is interesting to note that Lindy Cameron's appointment coincides with ongoing negotiations between India and Britain regarding a free trade agreement; however, these negotiations have reached a deadlock because of the upcoming Indian general elections.
