India will manufacture LCA Mark-2 fighter aircraft on a large scale in 2029, the strength of the Indian Air Force will increase
Air Force: By the year 2029, high-tech LCA Mark-2 fighter aircraft will be manufactured on a large scale in India. Apart from this, the production of fifth-generation advanced medium fighter aircraft can start in India itself from the year 2035.

Significant progress has been seen in the Indian fighter aircraft program. It has been told that 4.5 generation plus LCA Mark-2 fighter aircraft will be seen flying in the skies of India from March 2026. Apart from this, the special thing is that in the year 2029, these high-tech fighter aircraft will be manufactured on a large scale in India itself. Apart from this, defense officials say that the production of fifth-generation advanced medium fighter aircraft can start in India from the year 2035.
It has been told that a few days ago, a meeting was held between DRDO Chairman Dr. Sameer V Kamat and Vice President of Indian Air Force Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit. In this meeting, the timeline of the high-tech fighter aircraft program was discussed. DRDO officials said that Dr. Kamat and Air Marshal Dixit held a high-level review meeting regarding the production program of the LCA Mark-2 fighter aircraft. Senior DRDO officials were present during the meeting. During this, information was also given about the progress status of the fighter aircraft. The LCA Mark-2 program was discussed during the meeting.
It has been told that the program will now be delayed by about a year. Actually, the first LCA Mark-2 fighter aircraft sample was to be ready in early 2025. Such officials said that the deadline had to be extended due to a delay in the release of approved funds of this amount, which was to be used for signing the deal for LCA Mark-2 fighter aircraft.
It has been told that all LCA fighter aircraft will be fitted with GE engines from America. Officials said, GE-404 engines will be fitted in LCA Mark-1 and Mark-1A fighter aircraft. Apart from this, GE-414 engines will be fitted in LCA Mark-2 fighter aircraft. These engines will be manufactured in India by an American company. Instead, the Indian government has given preference to LCA Mark-2 fighter planes rather than Mirage 2000, Jaguar, and Mig-29 fighter planes. Fighter planes like Mirage, Jaguar, and Mig have been serving in the Indian security forces for more than 15 years.
