In just two years, Flipkart's valuation—an online retailer—has dropped by Rs 41,000 crore. In the fiscal year that ended on January 31, 2022, its valuation was $ 40 billion; on January 31, 2024, it was down to $ 35 billion. The division of PhonePe into a distinct business is the cause of the drop in Flipkart's valuation.
According to sources, Flipkart is currently valued between $38 and $40 billion. In the fiscal year 2021–2022, Flipkart's parent company, Walmart, sold an eight per cent stake in the company for a sum of $3.2 billion.
