Coast Guard in action to prevent infiltration into India, international maritime border being monitored round the clock
Deputy Director General of the Indian Coast Guard Anupam Rai said that security has been increased on the international maritime boundary line to prevent any kind of illegal infiltration into India. He said that two to three ships have been deployed to monitor the international maritime boundary line. At the same time, the Border Security Forces have also tightened security on the India-Bangladesh international border.

Even after the resignation of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the nation of Bangladesh, together with the swearing of Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus as the head of the interim government, violent protests, anarchy, and riots keep on raging.
On the other hand, most people are entering India illegally at this time, fearing public violence against the ongoing protests in the neighboring country. However, keeping an eye on the present situation in Bangladesh, a high alert has been issued on the international border.
The Indian Coast Guard has also been geared into action mode after the BSF at the India-Bangladesh border. The Deputy Director General of the Indian Coast Guard, Anupam Rai, said that security has been increased on the international maritime boundary line to prevent any kind of illegal infiltration into India. He said two to three ships have been deployed to monitor the international maritime boundary line.
He said that the coastal surveillance radars of the Coast Guard are continuously monitoring Sundarban, Haldia, Paradip, and Gopalpur around the clock. However, no illegal activity has been observed so far.
Meanwhile, in view of the ongoing crisis in Bangladesh, the Border Security Forces have also tightened security on the India-Bangladesh international border. BSF has also increased deployment at border posts.
