Author Mithilesh Khandwala’s BanFuels Educational Transformation in Gujarat Border Villages Through Royalty-Funded Initiative

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], July 30: On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, author Mithilesh Khandwala announced a community-focused educational initiative that channels the royalties from his book, Bansi – The Melody of Eternal Knowledge, toward the development of schools in Gujarat’s border villages.

The initiative is being implemented through the Mithilesh Welfare Foundation under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at supporting the educational and holistic development of the border villages of Jakhotra, Krishnanagar, Vauva, and Madhutra.

According to the Foundation, the complete royalty generated from the sale of author Mithilesh Khandwala’s book Bansi – The Melody of Eternal Knowledge will be dedicated to strengthening education, promoting digital learning, and improving educational infrastructure across these villages.

Phase-wise Development Plan

The project has been designed in multiple phases to improve learning facilities for students in border-region schools.

Under the first phase, computers and digital learning infrastructure are being provided to schools in Jakhotra, Vauva, and Madhutra. The initiative seeks to expand students’ access to technology and strengthen digital education in rural classrooms.

The second phase will focus on establishing modern Digital Libraries within the participating schools. These facilities are expected to provide students with access to digital educational resources, reference materials, and learning platforms aimed at enhancing academic opportunities.

The third phase will involve upgrading science education by supplying advanced laboratory equipment. Based on consultations with school principals, teachers, and village sarpanches, modern scientific instruments will be installed to improve practical learning and laboratory-based education.

Community Participation

The programme was attended by author Mithilesh Khandwala; Mrs. Shweta Khandwala; Mr. Janak Khandwala; the Vice Chancellor, Advisor, and Registrar of Silver Oak University; village sarpanches; representatives of Seema Jagran Manch; and principals from the participating schools.

During the event, computers were formally handed over on behalf of the schools and received by Mrs. Pritiben Maiyani and Mr. Navghanbhai.

Vision Beyond Infrastructure

Representatives of the Mithilesh Welfare Foundation stated that the initiative is intended to go beyond providing physical infrastructure by creating equal educational opportunities for students living in border regions.

The Foundation said its long-term objective is to equip students with modern learning resources comparable to those available in urban institutions, helping them become digitally empowered, self-reliant, and better prepared for future educational and career opportunities.

The organization added that additional community-oriented projects under the MoU will continue to be implemented to support the overall educational and social development of these border villages.
