Anupam Kher used to sleep at the station during the days of struggle, said - Grandfather's teachings changed his perspective of life.
Veteran Hindi cinema actor Anupam Kher has been a part of the film industry for 40 years, but it was not easy for him to reach here. He has had to face a lot of struggles to make his special place in the industry. Now he talks about his days of struggle in the initial phase of his career. The actor recalled that in his early days he used to sleep at railway stations. He used to sleep at 1:40 in the night after the last train left and woke up at 4:30 when the first train started.

In a recent interview, Anupam shared that the journey to stardom has been a very long one for him. It doesn't seem easy to look back, because for them everything started with a small house in which 14 people lived. He also recalled that there were a lot of them in a small house and his father was the only earning member. He was always very happy, so as a child he asked his grandfather what was the reason behind it. They were told that when you are poor the cheapest thing is happiness and this removed their fear of being poor.
Anupam also recalled his days of struggle in the city. He shared that he never told his parents that he was sleeping at railway stations because he did not want to hurt them, but he had no problem pouring out his feelings to his grandfather. Anupam told his grandfather that he was feeling very humiliated here in the city. He does not want to stay here any longer and wants to go back. Why did he come here?
Hearing these words of Anupam, his grandfather's reply to him changed Anupam's perspective on life. His grandfather told him that he had worked very hard. His parents have worked hard and he has already lived in Bombay for some time and said that a wet man is not afraid of rain. Anupam further said that whenever he goes through a bad phase, he always thinks about this line and he feels that after many years, these times will become stories of your life.
