Jay Shah, Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, will reveal the new moniker one day before this Test.
India and England's five-Test series will begin with the third match on February 15 in Rajkot. The Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot will bear the name of former first-class cricketer Niranjan Shah one day earlier, on February 14. Senior BCCI officials and players are anticipated to take part in this programme.
Actually, according to News18, Saurashtra Cricket Association Secretary Himanshu Shah has said that the new name of the stadium will be unveiled by Jay Shah. Invitations have been sent to senior BCCI officials to participate in this program. He said that all the invited dignitaries and officials will be confirmed in the next few days. Niranjan Shah, a first-class cricket player, represented Saurashtra in 12 first-class matches from 1965–1966 and 1975–1976. For nearly forty years, Niranjan Shah served as the Saurashtra Cricket Association's secretary. In addition, he served as the Secretary of the Indian Cricket Board of Control.
